Our Story: Data & Candidate Assessments Converge

Like you, I’ve experienced deep-seated frustration with conventional, slow, and cumbersome hiring processes of the companies where I was employed. 

 

I often found myself in situations where my ideal candidate had already been snapped up by the time I extended an offer. At other times, the candidates I hired turned out to be ill-fitting for the company culture and role.

 

This recurring cycle fuelled my determination to overcome the detrimental effects of biases in recruitment, which often hindered access to top-tier talent. 

 

Along this journey, I cofounded a data analytics company, Avora, where I was immersed in a world where data reigned supreme. 

 

 

Going Beyond the Data

It was a place where numbers and insights illuminated the path to success, and where stories of transformation unfolded daily.

 

One particular story stands out – one that reflects the power of data and the remarkable journey of collaboration and innovation. We were battling a seemingly insurmountable problem helping a client make sense of a mountain of data. But it was only when a new junior member approached it with a different lens that we were able to succeed.

 

This experience taught me that data analytics isn’t just about crunching numbers. It’s about unveiling stories hidden within data, stories that have the power to redefine the trajectory of businesses.

Saqib is a Chartered Psychologist, Chartered Scientist, and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS).

He is also a registered practitioner with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), in addition to being a EuroPsy registered Psychologist with EFPA.

 

His Specialities include Assessment Selection And Development, Leadership Capability Frameworks, Organisational Competency Models, Test Development and Norming, Personality Profiling and Assessment Legislation advice.
